Introduction
Andres Gutierrez currently works at the Marine Biogeochemistry Group, at National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research. My research focuses on understanding physical and biological controls on marine phytoplankton community structure, production and the fate of this production. Towards this general goal II have adopted an observational/experimental strategy applied to both natural communities in oceanographic voyages and lab experiments with cultures.
