Introduction
I am an emeritus professor at VU University Amsterdam and am currently affiliated with Utrecht University (IRAS). My current research focuses on the impact of nano/microplastics on human health. I advise the Netherlands Organization for Health Research and Development (ZonMw) on how to proceed with the Microplastics & Health research program. I am the co-coordinator of the 3-year Dutch MOMENTUM consortium on Microplastics & Human Health.
