Introduction
As an independent scholar, I have developed studies on historical interlinkages between animals and human societies. In my current research, I am seeking to enhance the field of equine cultures from a critical approach on the equines which have been used as source of plasma in the medical industry of antivenom. My previous work activity as an environmental consultant gave me valuable expertise to cross boundaries and explore modes of decolonial thinking in its plural perspectives.

This research seeks to propitiate an integrative approach through the humanities, social sciences, animal health, and medical sciences, through the investigation of a vast repertoire of data. The historical, ethical, institutional aspects of the antivenom industry are been reviewed from a critical perspective, in order to reduce the significant gap of information in the field of equine cultures and inter-species studies. The first phase of this project (2021) was supported by the Center for Contemporary Equine Studies (CA, US). Current developments are ongoing.
