Introduction
Allan L. Branson is a Ph.D. graduate (2011) from University of Leicester and retired Philadelphia Police Lieutenant formerly assigned to patrol, Internal Affairs Division, narcotics and Firearms Training Unit. Dr. Branson’s research explores historic race based perceptions and media representations which contribute to the biases regarding those who commit violent crimes within urban environments. His thesis "The Anonymity of African American Serial Killers" is also available at Amazon.com
