Modelling and analysis of multidimensional high- resolution environmental data with application to airport runway condition management
Project
The project focuses on modelling and analysis of environmental data related to runway conditions to support in safer and more economic operations of airports. The project consists of two work packages: 1. Development of a data-driven warning system. The aim of this work package is to develop a model to classify the level of the surface friction between the tires of the aircraft and the runway during aircraft landing. 2. Development of a prognosis system for runway conditions. The aim of this work package is to extend the warning system developed in the first work package into a prognosis system based on weather forecasts given by the meteorological institute.
