Introduction
I am a medical anthropologist working as emeritus at TransVIHMI, IRD, CRCF, in Dakar, Senegal. My main topics are the social dimensions of emerging and re-emerging epidemics including Ebola and HIV, the interface between control and care at the global and local levels, pharmaceuticals and "vulnerability" (in IDUs and women), critical anthropology of public health.
