THis is a soil contaminated with phosphates and treated with lime plus a natural pozzolana, i am having a bit of a hard time processing this diffractogram can some tell me why it has this ascending slope ?

I am conducting a microstructural analysis of a soil treated with lime. The following sem images are of the untreated s1 and treated soil s3. The untreated soil contains quartz calcite illite kaolinite albite chlorite and muscovite.
I would like an expert eye on how to analyse these images.

I am currently studying the effect of some compounds on the microstructural textures of soils, my soil is composed of of Quartz , illite ,Kaolinite and is predominatly carbonecous .
The following images of SEM were obtained ,
fig a is of the native soil with no addition
fig b is of the soil treated with lime
fig c is of the soil treated with lime and a phosphate compound
fig c is of the soil treated with lime , natural pozzolana and a phosphate compound
Can somebody please help me how to interpret the images and defind the micro and macrostructural textures ? also are my comment on the CSH and CASH as well as hydroxylapattite minerals correct ?

I am no specialist at this so i am in serious need of help here, when i use match! software to detect peaks on my XRD patterns do i have to manually adjust the peaks of the calculated pattern so that it touches the summit of the peaks of my raw pattern (arrow in red) ?
is it normal that the detected peaks are higher than the those of the raw data (difference in blue)
also is it necessary to take into account the smaller peaks (in yellow )?

The following results are for a marl soil under XRD and SEM, according to XRD the soil consists of a huge amount of quartz 43 % and calcite 25.5 % with little clay minerals ( the clays add up to about 21%) , looking at SEM however i am seeing Kaolinite particules or am i wrong ?
Also can anyone give any comments on the SEM microstructure please ?

First of all i am an amateur when it comes to XRD and phase analysis so please bare with me on this . That being said , i am having an issue with Match! software whereas the suggested phases say for example Quart do not match the respective peaks ( as you may already know quartz have a strong peak at 2 theta 26.66 with 1000 intensity ) but when i select quartz phase its pattern is not aligned with the peaks as shown in the photo, this happens with all other phases , so what am i doing wrong ?
