Introduction
I'm studying benefits provided by non-crop habitats in agricultural landscapes. Such benefits are evaluated in terms of biodiversity of beneficial arthropods and ecosystem services provided. I'm currently working on the establishment of flower strips in an intensive agricultural landscape in Czech Republic. We expect to improve the biodiversity and related ecosystem services provided by multiple taxa of beneficial arthropods.

Agricultural intensification and landscape simplification are among the major drivers of biodiversity loss in agricultural landscapes. Increasing field edges might be a key solution for enhancing biodiversity and related ecosystem services within arable fields. In this study, we investigated the spatial distribution of nine arthropod groups and wee...
Wildflower strips (WFS) provide food and nesting resources to beneficial arthropods in agroecosystems. Still, their potential use as shelter during winter is mostly ignored. Furthermore, the effects of wildflower strip management measures may have repercussions on the survival of overwintering arthropods. Thus, we explored the impact of WFS mowing...
Non-crop habitats are supposed to provide valuable resources to beneficial arthropods inhabiting agricultural landscapes during both the growing and winter seasons. Unfortunately, studies focused on the performance of non-crop habitats during the winter period are much less abundant, despite their importance for efficient biodiversity conservation...
The natural and seminatural components of agricultural landscapes play a key role in
maintaining a high level of biodiversity. Being the Po Valley one of the most humandominated and intensively cultivated landscapes in Europe, we investigated the effect of no-crop habitats on carabid richness and composition and evaluated the role
of tree row as co...
