Introduction
The temporary title of my PhD work is "Of Submission & Weakness: Logics of Surrendering in Ancient Greece" (More on that on my website profile) It is a work that brings together history and theory. Even though history is often presented in contradistinction to theory this is an impoverished understanding. They often stand much closer together than many would like them to be. A theoretically informed historical work is what I find alluring
