Introduction
My research interests focus on the use of rhetorical and discursive social psychology which I use to explore matters relating to political ideology. For my PhD, I am exploring how politicians debated calls for a second referendum on the UK’s membership of the EU. Using data from parliamentary debates, I analyse the ways in which politicians formulated their positions as being consistent with the norms of democracy.
