The aim of this project is to transform the necessity for “integrated ICT training” in companies training projects into a possible action plan which indicates both the pros and cons of the use of IT in the strategies, services and products to be used from a cost point of view. This will enable an evaluation of the Return On Investment (ROI) using the new concept of Yield Index “e-lYI” (e-learning Yield Index), introduced in the first study in 2004. The Yield Index “e-lYI” suggests an original way to evaluate the implementation of e-learning methodologies into company based environments; and still, the new index will help professionals involved in the management of the transition from the “classical” structure to the innovative structure needed by the e-learning implementation. This project starts with a study, made in 2004, in which the research team defined the Yield Index for the Academic/university environment. Now the team wants to apply the e-lYI to the companies.
Project
The research team started a project, since 2013, to find out a new student's performance evaluation strategy based on some well-known and performing technologies, trying to answer a crucial but straightforward question: How could adaptive technology help the development of online teaching methodologies? That research defined an answer to the above questions describing the implementation of adaptivity technology in a specific Open Source, Learning Management System, and described some best practices developed during the “in vitro” evaluation. As the prosecution of the research process, the team started some testing activities that have proven the efficiency of the method on a bigger scale.
