Introduction
This is Al-Hassan Soliman. I am a dental student at Sinai Univesity, faculty of dentistry, Arish, North Sinai, Egypt. My research interests lie in the field of stem cell biology and regeneration. I am interested in regenerating the dental pulp of RC-treated teeth.
My motivation is that "While there is life, there is hope!"
My hobbies are reading, designing medical illustrations, and deep thinking!

The management of human dissection labs and medical education are significantly impacted by the resurgence and spread of monkeypox (Mpox) as a global health issue, especially in Africa. Human dissection, a crucial part of anatomical education, requires strict procedures to protect medical students and instructors from the spread of inf...
Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) have emerged as a promising strategy in targeted cancer therapy, enabling the precise delivery of cytotoxic agents to tumor sites while minimizing systemic toxicity. However, traditional ADCs face significant limitations, including restricted drug loading capacity, where an optimal drug-to-antibody ratio (DAR) is cru...
Leukemia covers a broad category of cancer malignancies that specifically affect bone marrow and blood cells. While different kinds of leukemia have been identified, effective treatments are still lacking for most forms, and even those treatments considered effective can lead to relapses. MicroRNAs, or miRNAs, are short endogenous non-coding single...
NDDs are becoming increasingly prevalent and burdening the mainstream medical sectors. Hence, it is imperative to explore alternative and supportive approaches to therapy. A wide range of nonpharmacological therapies is covered in this chapter including physical exercises, cognitive training, psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, and new interventions...
Stroke, a leading cause of sickness and death worldwide, is difficult to diagnose and treat. This book chapter examines biomarkers and diagnostic methods’ role in stroke research. This article discusses stroke biomarkers, including proteins, nucleic acids, metabolites, and cellular components, and their ability to detect strokes early, evaluate ris...
Recent advancements in human stem cell-derived brain organoids have the potential to replicate critical molecular and cellular aspects of learning, memory, and cognition in vitro. The term “organoid intelligence” (OI) is proposed to encapsulate these advancements, aiming to establish a multidisciplinary field dedicated to OI. Researchers can now ma...
Since cancer is becoming a leading cause of death worldwide, efforts should be concentrated on understanding its underlying biological alterations that would be utilized in disease management, especially prevention strategies. Within this context, multiple bodies of evidence have highlighted leptin’s practical and promising role, a peptide hormone...
Background: As a unique joint that facilitates the articulation of the upper and lower jaws, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is concerned with several critical functions, such as speech and mastication. Pain that can become incapacitating is a result of temporomandibular disorders (TMDs), which are complex disorders affecting the masticatory musc...
Gut microbiota substantially impacts pathogenic and normal immune responses and is associated with common chronic diseases. Moreover, it has a considerable effect on the efficacy of cancer therapy. Variant gut microbiota is linked with immune checkpoint inhibitors, chemo drugs, and radiotherapy resistance. Therefore, a comprehensive interpretation...
Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are cancer cells that can self-renew and give rise to tumors. The multipotency of CSCs enables the generation of diverse cancer cell types and their potential for differentiation and resilience against chemotherapy and radiation. Additionally, specific biomarkers have been identified for them, such as CD24, CD34, CD44, CD47...
Neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs) are a class of neurological disorders marked by the progressive loss of neurons that afflict millions of people worldwide. These illnesses affect brain connection, impairing memory, cognition, behavior, sensory perception, and motor function. Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's diseases are examples of commo...
MiRNAs (microRNAs) constitute a group of diminutive molecules of non-coding RNA intricately involved in regulating gene expression. This regulation is primarily accomplished through the binding of miRNAs to complementary sequences situated in the 3′-UTR of the messenger RNA (mRNA) target; as a result, they are degraded or repressed. The multifacete...
Breast cancer is a significant and deadly threat to women globally. Moreover, Breast cancer metastasis is a complicated process involving multiple biological stages, which is considered a substantial cause of death, where cancer cells spread from the original tumor to other organs in the body-representing the primary mortality factor. Circulating t...
This narrative review summerizes the mitochondria dyafunction related to neurodegenerative disorders and summerizes the different treatment methods of them
Mitochondria play a vital role in the nervous system, as they are responsible for generating energy in the form of
ATP and regulating cellular processes such as calcium (Ca2+) signaling and apoptosis. However, mitochondrial
dysfunction can lead to oxidative stress (OS), inflammation, and cell death, which have been implicated in the
pathogenesis...
Nanotechnology is the use of materials that have unique nanoscale properties. In recent years, nanotechnologies have shown promising results for human health, especially in cancer treatment. The self-assembly characteristic of RNA is a powerful bottom-up approach to the design and creation of nanostructures through interdisciplinary biological, che...
This century’s first major epidemic of a new coronavirus illness (2019-nCoV) was a tremendous shock to the healthcare system. The onset of the pandemic has caused severe economic and health shortages. At this time, there are no viable treatments for COVID-19. Several clinical studies using cell-based therapies, such as umbilical cord mesenchymal st...
Glia, which was formerly considered to exist just to connect neurons, now plays a key function in a wide range of physiological events, including formation of memory, learning, neuroplasticity, synaptic plasticity, energy consumption, and homeostasis of ions. Glial cells regulate the brain's immune responses and confers nutritional and structural a...
Diabetes has become one of the most popular diseases that is spreading worldwide over the past decades. About 422 million people have diabetes and 1.6 million deaths each year are directly related to diabetes. It’s a metabolic disease characterized by an elevation in the blood glucose level due to inadequate production of insulin from the pancreas...
