When a solvent has been used to obtain plant extract and the extract has been placed in a column and a solvent used to elute the components. Collection OF eluents was done and qualitative TLC was run on the collected eluents, followed by bulking. The bulked eluents were then run on preparative TLC to separate components. Each separated component was run on qualitative TLC and three spots were identified. Would we classify the separated components as fractions or isolates, knowing that each separated component produced 3 spots in TLC?
