Introduction
A Ph.D student at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences in Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague.
Currently focused on understanding the dynamics of drought stress and forest mortality using ecosystem models, and modelling forest mortality due to stress under various scenarios.

Description
- Intern in the project titled, "Plausible alternative futures of Island mangroves in the Asia-Pacific: Scenario-based analysis and quantification of mangrove ecosystem services in coastal hazard mitigation and climate change adaptation in North Andaman Island, India". Was entrusted with preparing the Land-Use Land Cover maps of the Andaman Islands of the year 2000, 2010, and 2019, and perform a change analysis on the same.

In response to the dynamic needs and evolving perspectives of the scientific community and the anthropogenic world, the concept of ecosystem services has continuously evolved since its inception in the last decade of the twentieth century. The chapter attempts to trace the evolution of the idea of ecosystem services in the era of disturbance ecolog...
Land degradation is one of the major environmental concerns of the 21st century. Forest fires and the spread of invasive alien plant species have been considered as major drivers of forest degradation which have led to changes in the structure and composition of the forest, and also have led to a decline
in the productivity of the forest. The stud...
Mapping different tree species based on their canopy characteristics is a challenge with the high spatial resolution data. We present an artificial intelligence-based semantic segmentation deep learning method to map and identify Mango and Coconut trees. The semantic segmentation method is based on Convolution Neural Network-(CNN)based method, whic...
Communal roosting on an over-nightly basis is common in butterflies for resting and for avoiding predation. Having a source of nectar and safeguarding from harsh weather conditions are also notable parameters to consider a site as a potential roosting spot. Roosting differs from a congregation in the fact that the latter happens mainly in the expos...
Carnivores occupy the apex position in the food chain and thereby exert a top down control on the ecosystem. This makes the presence of the carnivores vital to the sustenance of the ecosystem. However, due to the growing human population and encroachments on the habitat of these carnivores, their numbers have decreased in the past two centuries. Fu...
India has 10 biogeographic zones(Rodgers and Panwar, 1988) and four categories of Protected areas which form the Protected Area Network. Analysis helps in the understanding of how much biodiversity is protected (Brooks et al., 2004), where new Protected Areas could be formed (Brooks et al., 2004), where and how the existing reserve systems can be e...
