One of the challenges in onion breeding under tropical condition is flowering. Our first step is to develop onion lines capable of flowering all throughout the year.
In bar or line graph, some are using both error bars (standard error of mean), and letters to indicate significant difference among means. But how about using LSD or HSD value instead of standard error values in creating error bars?
Base on some literatures, there is no problem about the soil acidity of irrigated lowland rice because the pH will adjust to neutral when flooded. However, some say that it is only at the upper portion of the soil and the lower portion is still acidic.
We used corn as experimental plant and harvested until maturity (one cropping only). The area usually used inorganic fertilizer in crop production/experiment. The soil has low N/OM. This was conducted during wet season in Philippine condition.
In my experiment, I have two factors (Location and Variety). In analysis, I combined all the Locations then got the result of Combined ANOVA. However, in making a group comparison, Contrast is only available for Variety and there is no for Location. So, in this kind of experiment, Group comparison can only be done for Variety and not for Location?

Some say that NH4 and NO3 have equal amount under aerobic condition. Does the NH4 under aerobic condition converted into NO3 due to the presence of O2 making the NO3 as the major form under this condition?
