The selection of the optimal conceptual design of any product is challenging due to the complexity of the customer’s behavior and the competitiveness existing among production companies. The present study introduces a hierarchical group decision-making algorithm supported on Axiomatic Design principles and Best-Worst Method under fuzzy environment....
One of the most primary issues that organizations have to deal with is incorporating massive structured data problems, simultaneously. Additionally, a vital division in any organization is the department of human resources (HR), which is in charge of the recruitment and personnel selection procedures. Due to the nature of the personnel assessment p...
The move towards sustainable development and energy efficient solutions in the built environment has led to develop innovative solutions, particularly in the area of indoor environmental comfort in buildings. Phase change materials (PCMs) are a potential approach to target building energy use reduction. PCMs are smart materials that have been comme...
Establishing a cryptocurrency portfolio management and allocation decision support is vital in enabling investors to thrive in this market. More than nearly 5000 cryptocurrencies are traded daily at cryptocurrency exchanges, and one of the primary challenges is the optimal selection of the assets. While research studies considered cryptocurrency pr...
The move towards an era of big data structured problems has led to the development of state-of-the-art solutions, mainly in decision sciences. Large Scale Decision-Making (LSDM) and Data-Driven Decision-Making (DDDM) approaches have emerged from a rapidly evolving research field. A common challenge in LSDM
problems formed from various heterogeneous...

Meeting the needs of acute geriatric patients is often challenging, and although evidence shows that older patients need tailored care, it is still unclear which interventions are most appropriate. The objective of this study is to systematically evaluate the hospital-wide acute geriatric models compared with conventional pathways. The...
Hazardous healthcare waste (HCW) management system is one of the most critical urban systems affected by the COVID-19 pandemic due to the increase in waste generation rate in hospitals and medical centers dealing with infected patients as well as the degree of hazardousness of generated waste due to exposure to the virus. In this regard, waste netw...
Pneumonia is an acute respiratory infection that has led to significant deaths of people worldwide. This lung disease is more common in people older than 65 and children under five years old. Although the treatment of pneumonia can be challenging, it can be prevented by early diagnosis using Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) systems. Chest X-Rays (CXR...
Mark Twain once said, “Age is an issue of mind over matter (…) If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter…” However, the gradual impairment of biological functions due to deteriorative cell and structural component alterations over time is inevitable. The United Nations reports that “by mid-century, one in six people globally will be aged 65 years or old...
The selection of the optimal material in engineering design procedures of any construction project due to the complexity of future circumstances could be considered as a complex problem. Similar complex selection problems can be efficiently implemented with the support of Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) methods. The traditional MADM metho...
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to formulate and validate a measurement model to evaluate the service quality of cultural centers. This study aims to expand the domain of service quality measurement models by extending the SERVQUAL model to an alternative measurement tool called the ARTQUAL model based on three different preferences and scenar...
One of the most effective solutions to sustain an organization in competitive environments is the strategy of continuous improvement. Consequently, the proposed strategy needs a continuous performance evaluation measurements. A solution to evaluate service quality measurements is to rank the service providers. The ranking procedure in similar compl...
A primary issue that is being discussed nowadays in organizations is continuous improvement of the organization itself, because the procedure of periodic evaluation is an important tool to maintain the improvement of the organization. An essential factor in any organization is the human resources as a key asset to guide organizations to sustain the...
The selection process of appropriate Performance Appraisal (PA) methods for organizations in today’s dynamic and agile environments along with its funding scales is a complex problem. Performance appraisal in modern organizations has become a part of the strategic approach toward integrating business policies and human resource activities. The exis...
Due to the adaptation of recent pollution mitigation and justification policies there has been a growing trend for electricity generation from various renewable resources. The selection of the optimal renewable energy technology could be measured as a complex problem due to the complication of forthcoming circumstances in any country. Consequently,...
The construction industry is a significant motive for the economic and industrial developments in countries. Consequently, the success of the construction projects is crucial for any country because the failure of these projects imposes extreme costs to the economic and industrial development of the country. Thus, the identification of the critical...
The selection of waste lubricant oil regenerative technology regarding the complexity of the technologies and financial issues is a complex problem. Some risk factors exist regarding the ratings of technologies on the effective criteria. The current study tackles the selection of the technology based on fuzzy axiomatic design approach considering r...
In past recent years, by increasing in the considerations on the significance of data science many studies have been developed concerning the big data structured problems. Along with the information science, in the field of decision science, multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) approaches have been considerably applied in research studies. One of...

Decision Intelligence (DI) emerging discipline that augments knowledge discovery in data and data science fields with various theories from decision science, social science, operations research, and managerial science in order to establish a framework for best practices in static and dynamic decision-making problems. Unlike other decision-making tools and methodologies, decision intelligence seeks to bring to bear a number of engineering practices to the process of creating a decision. In this project, I have tried to collaborate with scientists around the world in order to develop and apply various DI methods in different fields of study, to solve decision-making problems and provide an optimal decision solution.
The primary aim of the current study is to develop and apply predictive models and decision support systems using pathway modelling and simulation-optimisation approaches in order to improve the quality of care and design a more efficient pathway process of care for acute geriatric patients.
This project is the main topic of my PhD research.
This project contains 2 phases. First, the development and implication of the ARTQUAL model in various case-studies using statistical modeling and validation. Second, an assessment of the optimal setting based on a couple of novel and hybrid MCDM methodologies.
This study aims to expand the domain of service quality measurement models by extending the SERVQUAL model to an alternative measurement tool called the ARTQUAL model based on three different preferences and scenarios including concert halls, theatre halls and art galleries.
This project was part of my MSc thesis supervised by Prof. Abbas Saghaei and Prof. Ashkan Hafezalkotob.
