Question
In a grammar Judgement test, I ask my respondents to rewrite the incorrect statements to assess their grammatical morpheme usage. Some of them change the context completely  ( e.g. Now I am cook) to elicit (-ing) the student reply with (Now I am a cook)!. Some pluralize nouns  when I meant to elicit indefinite article usage. Some of them even use -ing in simple present contexts, or vice versa. What can count as over-generalization in tests of this type?
