Introduction
Abdul Hai Julay holds a BA (Hons) in Brunei Studies from Universiti Brunei Darussalam and an MA in International Relations from the International University of Japan in Niigata. He currently teaches a range of modules in the Academy of Brunei Studies, where he is based, ranging from Melayu Islam Beraja, Non-governmental organizations in Brunei Darussalam, Brunei politics, Brunei foreign policy, and Research Method. He is also the Academy of Brunei’s coordinator for final year research projects and supervises a number of graduate and undergraduate students on various topics. Currently, he is working on environmental issues particularly on Brunei Environmental Civic Culture and NGOs' participations, foreign policy and diplomacy.
