Would you be interested in including Poland in your project?
Dear Professor.
For several years I have been studying the history of Polish and German film translation in the period 1918-1939. I base my research on archival materials. I have already published several of my articles on this subject, and the next ones will be published in 2020.
Would you be interested in including Poland in your project? I would be happy to cooperate. I work in Polish and German but I can provide texts in English. This year I met Mrs. O'Sullivan in Warsaw, who is also interested in this topic.
Greetings

Dear Elizabeth Plewa,
Thank you for your interesting proposal. I actually work more on the theory of film adaptation, but I would suggest you address your proposal to Yves Gambier. He is one of the founders of the study of audiovisual translation. I wish you the best of luck. Patrick Cattrysse

Why not? For the time being, I put aside the project but I hope to be able to resume the work next spring. A pity I cannot read German nor Polish (most of your papers available in this platform are in Polish). At the end of May 2020 (28-30.5), I have been invited to a conference to be held in Lodz. Would you be there even if the main topic is not AVT? Kind regards, YG
