This paper concentrated on effect of wind on ‘I’ plan shaped tall building with different directions of wind. For that purpose, ANSYS Fluid flow (Fluent) package is used. Dimension scale is taken as 1:400. Wind pressure coefficients for the object building are determined and listed for 0⁰-90⁰ wind angle with 15⁰ increment. The flow of wind around t...
In this project work the simulation of heat transfer and the temperature curve in the furnace is computed out using gambit and fluent software. Comparison of temperature profiles of the material in the furnace using constant temperature heat source and linearly varying temperature of the heat source for unsteady state is done. Also the time for tem...
CFD for Nuclear Reactor Safety Applications (CFD4NRS-3) Workshop, Bethesda, MD, USA, 14-16 September 2010 A three-dimensional porous media model has been implemented for the secondary side of the horizontal steam generator of a VVER-440 plant by using the ANSYS FLUENT 12.0 code. The primary circuit is solved with the APROS system code and the outer...
