Where can I find climate data for the Canary Islands?

Hello friends,

I need to calculate such extreme precipitation indices (e.g., R5D, R20, RR1..etc) using R programming or Python. I will be thankful for any kind of help.

note that:

R5D --> the highest 5-day precipitation amount for each year.

R20 --> the annual count of days with precipitation >20 mm.

RR1 --> the annual count of rainy days > 1mm.

Hello! Hope you are doing well. I am currently doing a research with the unorganized sector workers. I am using interviewing as my method. Because of the unique nature of my participant population, I opted for taking verbal consent since a written consent form didn't seem appropriate.

I took the interview only after their permission and did the same for recording as well. However, I could not record the process of taking the verbal consent where I explained all the points related to informed consent. How should I go about it?

If no other database is available, Is there any other source to get data regarding past disaster events?

Numerous papers talk about creating latilong or lat/long blocks of 1 degree or 2 degrees. Is there a way to do this in ArcGIS? We have nest location data for three species of shorebirds in six states of the US, as well as the location and data for all the weather stations in those six states. We would like to find average temperature during the breeding season in those six states and see if changes in average temperature are correlated with changes in clutch initiation date in the shorebird species. One way we can do this (according to previous studies) is to create latilong blocks and use the data from the weather stations in those blocks where our nests are located. However, we are unfamiliar with how to do this in ArcGIS or if there is another way to do it. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

I am interested getting my MaxEnt model at higher resolution. The model involves the use of the common 19 Bioclimatic variables. I understand some people are against the use of variables from Worldclim in the first place but for my purpose I think it best suited. 

What will be the implications of downscaling this data-set?

Kindly guide me how i can download CMIP5 simulation for emission scenario RCP 8.5? How i can extract the future climate data for a specific catchment?  

I need daily observed historical climate data (precipitation and temperature mainly) for surface water basin shared between Jordan and Syria. I have date for the Jordanian side from the ministry but none from the Syrian side. Someone suggested on me that many organisations already over those data with proper manipulation such as United Nations (UN) in specific websites. So anyone can provide me to these websites links and which is the best and reliable.
