What sensemaking do you do, and is there any good tool?

Sensemaking theory describes the process of sensemaking as rather linear 1.noticing cues 2. interpretation 3.action. Does theory that challenge this rather streamlined way of acting exist?.

I am in particular interested in perspectives that challenges this process as seen from Mills & Mills Critical sensemaking theory.

I am looking for introduction and advanced theories on these two subjects. Something (possibly recent) that can get me up to speed so I can dig further in what might fit me.

Also any readings about real-time data visualization?

I am looking for a quantitative estimate of the gain that better Data Visualization can have to Business Decision making in the "Big Data" world. 

Recent studies have shown that between 30% and 40% of business decisions are solely driven by data (the remainder is coming from decision maker's own knowledge and gut feeling plus advice from collaborators). We also know that the way data is visualized affects the viewer's ability to make good decisions (extensive literature on information visualization).

I'm looking for a general estimate of how much decisions can improve solely due to better data visualization. Do you know about any specific study on this?

I am trying to evaluate the priority of 21 activities for a given case for one single goal (Goal: importance of activity for successful planning) with the Analytical Network Process:

For the activities, 16 aspects have an influence. Each of this 16 aspects have characteristics that influence the importance of my activities. The characteristics are influencing each other as well.

I tried to model this example with the Super Decisions Software but I didn't get useful results. Is there an example/paper with a similar problem where I could find help for modeling? Or is anyone able to answer the questions I have regarding the modeling of this decision making problem?

I was thinking about the different decision making methods under certain and uncertain conditions. My specific question is that:

As you know, we have many MCDM tools like AHP- ANP- TOPSIS- VIKOR- PROMOTHEE- MOORA- SIR and many other methods and all of them have been developed to fuzzy, type-2 fuzzy, intuitionistic fuzzy and Grey environments. Which one is really more applicable under uncertain situations? fuzzy ? type-2 fuzzy? Intuitionistic fuzzy? or Grey environment for a decision making method? I know each uncertain logic has its applications but sometimes a tiny different in collected data may causes different results by each methods.
