I think management is wider in scope in the shouldering of the various facets of an organizational duties. Controlling is just an aspect of those diverse duties a manager and/or the management board is supposed to carry out. Control basically deals with the efficient way of utilizing the resources that the organization has in maximizing maximum turn outs or profits for the survival and progression of the organization.

Dear Assad, I agree with all the given answer. You put the question as related to work. What about these terms when it is about anger, you have the phrase anger management and anger control. It is very hard to make a difference, though I suppose that the experts will find one.

What is The Difference Between Management and Control?
Simply put control is a subset of management. According to Henri Fayol - "To manage is to forecast and to plan, to organize, to command, to co-ordinate and to control." Control is to set a boundary / boundaries, then monitor / track & act / ensure an outcome e.g business outcome like expenses is within the boundary / boundaries.

Management is the process or practice of managing. It is the act of coordinating the efforts of people to accomplish certain goals. On the other hand, control is the exercise where one influences , suggests or dictates the behavior.
, Management is:
  • The act or manner of managing; handling, direction, or control.
  • Skill in managing; executive ability: great management and tact.
  • The person or persons controlling and directing the affairs of a business, institution, etc.: The store is under new management.
  • Executives collectively, considered as a class (distinguished from labor).
Management was derived from the Latin word manus, which means hand and from the Italianmaneggiare, which means to handle, especially the tools. Management is basically the art of getting things done from people, from beginning to end. From the viewpoint of Henri Fayol (1841–1925), management consists of six functions:
  • Forecasting
  • Planning
  • Organizing
  • Commanding
  • Coordinating
  • Controlling
.
Control means making decisions. It is all about managerial functions that ensure if all things are going in a right manner or not. It usually involves authority or a board to make decisions about changes, if any. The four basic elements in a control system are:
  • The characteristic or condition to be controlled
  • The censor
  • The comparator
  • The activator
Control is important in any business or organization because it helps to check the errors and to take the correct action against the problems. Whereas, control is also a foreseeing action used to predict the company and get the work done accordingly.

There is no differences between management and control for the fact that one of the management role is to control the progression of the organization in terms of the staffs performance. The management should ensure that all employees are work according to the objectives therefore the management should have the ability to control the employees.
If there is no control in the workplace, the organization cannot achieve their objectives

Dear Colleagues, Good Day,
"The great irony of management is that the higher up you go, the less actual control you have. When you are but a humble coder, you make the computer do exactly what you want; when you're a manager, you only hope that people understand what you want, and then trust/pray that they do it both correctly and in a timely manner."
