There exists a bundle of well mature mathematical/statistical rigorous models which fits real data from industry, academia, law, politics, sociology, earth sciences, physical sciences, chemical science, geology, bioinformatics, biology, astronomy and much more. The need is to employ these abstract comprehensive models to the so-called areas of arts and sciences. The requirement, is however., is to glue these models for practical applications. The ultimate requirement is the unity of different background experts to work in a team for comprehensive tasks and challenges of AI or Machine Learning (ML).

Hey all. I have two signals as shown. the red one is how my output should look like (the ideal case) and the blue one is what I am actually getting. I am quite new to signal analysis so was asking what are good metrics I can use to find the similarity between my generated signal and the ideal signal? I have looked at cross correlation and SNR using MATLAB, but I wanted to know if there are more methods out there that can provide me with a clearer picture specially with regards to how shape similarity etc.

I am trying to read water meter reading through OCR, however, my first step is to find ROI. I found a dataset from kaggle with the labelled data for the ROI. But they are not in rectangle, rather in polygon shape, some with 5 point, and some with 8 depending on the image. How do I convert this to yolo format?
