What are some good, US-distributed low-nitrogen and low-phosphate fertilizers?

Can anyone in the US recommend low-phosphate and low-nitrogen fertilizers to use for Medicago truncatula arbusculation and nodulation assays, respectively?

Low N-P fertilizers are more expensive (per kg N) than high N-P fertilizers.  We use diammonium phosphate which avoids having to spend lots of money on inoculating seedlings with VA products.

We usually prepare our own fertilizers formula  from the ones available. It is particularly easy if you are going to use nutrient solutions.
If your are doing your assays in soil, please note that indigenous AMF and rhizobia are not necessarily efficient.

We would prefer the seed source be in Canada if possible.
I've tried the Plant Genome Resources of Canada, but they do not have the species in their reserves.

I am working with the coating of seeds with microorganisms. I would like to know how many mycorrhizal fungus spores need a seed to guarantee good collination and at what time the inoculated fungi begin to produce more spores.
I have read that although the formulations of fertilizers based on mycorrhizal spores have many spores do not really need so many spores to achieve a good percentage of infectivity.
What is the best x-fold dilution for measuring the rhizobial population in drylands?

In drylands, rhizobial community are in low density. In your opinion, in a experiment to measure the rhizobial population in sites where you expect to be low density, what is the most appropriate serial x-fold dilution to determine the most probably number (MPN)? 10-fold, 5-fold, 2-fold?
For a new biofertilizer what efficient methods should I follow to test it's quality(non-presence of pathogens, types &number of symbiotic microbes)?

If someone can help me in getting a Rhizobial strain that infect chickpeas (Cicer arietinum) to produce N2 fixing nodules and it should have GFP/GUS/DsRED or anything like that as a visualization tag.
If a medium does not contain Nitrogen salt then, can Rhizobia facilitate nitrogen?

I have inoculated Rhizobial isolates to newly cultivated soybean plants in a controlled condition. They formed nodules but there is a huge variation among plants dry weight. More important thing is that control plants got more weight than inoculated nodulating plants  in agar and Fahraeus N-free medium in glass house. 
Can any Rhizobia bacteria fix nitrogen on nitrogen free media?

I know rhizobia bacteria fix nitrogen when symbiotic with leguminous plant.But when culture on nitrogen free media that's time can fix atmospheric nitrogen.
