To what extent do new ICT information technologies facilitate the development of science?

Do new ICT information technologies facilitate the development of scientific collaboration, the development of science?
Do new ICT information technologies facilitate scientific research, the conduct of research activities?
Do new ICT information technologies, internet technologies and/or Industry 4.0 facilitate research?
If so, to what extent, in which areas of your research has this facilitation occurred?
What examples do you know of from your own research and scientific activity that support the claim that new ICT information technologies facilitate research?
What is your opinion on this topic?
Please reply,
I invite you all to discuss,
Thank you very much,

Dear Dariusz Prokopowicz,
ICT has democratized acquisition of knowledge and research. It has enhanced availability of literature, facilitated fruitful deliberations among the scholars, and presented mankind with a new mode of learning, namely remote learning.
The XR shall open new vistas of learnings.

Hello All and thanks to Dr. Dariusz Prokopowicz for the importnant discussion,
ICT technologies are entering all aspects of life. They are facilitiating all that is mentioned in the discussion question and more.
Without these technologies, life would have been nearly impossible during the pandemic and the increasing number of people around the world would have difficulty achieving the same level of communications, collaboration, smart planning, resource utilization,.... etc. without the current ICT tools.

ICTs involve much more than just access to information or the technology of the computer, implied by conventional discussion of the information ‘haves’ and ‘have-nots.’ ICTs shape an individual's, household's, firm's, or nation's access to information, people, services, and technology. The concept of tele-access highlights how ICTs shape access—both electronically mediated and unmediated—to a wide array of social and economic resources.

Can the application of predictive analytics based on Big Data Analytics and generative artificial intelligence in business management replace traditional decision-making models?
Traditional decision-making methods in management are based on the analysis of historical data, the experience of management staff and the intuition of managers. In the age of Big Data Analytics, AI chatbots and advanced predictive analytics, the question arises as to whether models based on generative artificial intelligence and big data processing can effectively replace existing approaches to decision-making in organisations.
Big Data Analytics allows for better prediction of market trends, optimisation of operational processes and personalisation of customer services. Companies implementing predictive analytics can gain a competitive advantage by reacting faster to changing market conditions. However, there is a problem of interpreting the results of the analyses and the need to adapt them to the business context. Furthermore, dependence on algorithms can limit the flexibility of organisations, especially in situations that require creativity and a non-standard approach to problem solving. The ethical use of data is also an important aspect – algorithms can reflect unconscious biases encoded in historical data, leading to erroneous or unfair decisions.
Therefore, advanced predictive analytics can significantly improve the effectiveness of managerial decisions, but its full implementation requires the adaptation of organisational culture and investment in IT infrastructure, including the development of analyses carried out on computerised platforms equipped with Big Data Analytics and generative artificial intelligence technology.
I have described the key issues of opportunities and threats to the development of artificial intelligence technology in the article below:
OPPORTUNITIES AND THREATS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLICATIONS AND THE NEED FOR NORMATIVE REGULATION OF THIS DEVELOPMENT
The issue of the role of information, information security, including business information transferred via social media, and the application of Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies to improve systems for the transfer and processing of data and information in social media is described in the following articles:
