I would like to meet researchers, developers who are currently or previously worked on foveated, aka. gaze contingent rendering. Although, foveated rendering could be the next big thing in rendering community, still there is an active community missing in this domain. Probably we can all jointly build a developer community if reddit/slack/discord.

Data sharing between labs collaborating on funded projects is becoming more difficult with time as some institutions block access to regular cloud solutions such as Dropbox or google storage to name a few. What solutions are you using for non-hipaa subjected data? Can you name the top 2 and the name of your institution? I am trying to initiate a discussion with our IT department and want to back it with data on what our community is using. Thanks for your help!

I have simulated quite large systems (more than 300000 atoms). The for analyzing I've tried to use routines in GROMACS (various versions were tested), but none of them worked as desired. Talking about routine gmx sans or g_sans I can say that it gives memory errors when the system is basically too large. The problem can be due to the static memory allocation in the routine or maybe the system is too big for it?! Can anybody from GROMACS developers say how big the system can be for this function? Then the routine gmx saxs or g_rdf (but you calculate saxs profile there). For some reason the final curve looks smooth only when you take very large Q value up to 60 1/nm. If I put a setting for less, let's say for maximum 2 1/nm I will get an ugly curve due to the smaller number of points taken into account. Then regarding the saxs calculation I would like to know how can I get more points in the curve for saxs for a shorter Q-range (between 0 and 2 1/nm or between 0 and 5 1/nm)? I have checked all settings and such settings were only available for sans (there you could define qstep, while for saxs there is nothing like this).

And, please, do not tell me here in the answers something irrelevant or something a-la "something is wrong with your installation"! I have all correct libraries and everything works fine except the issues which I have mentioned.

I want to perform and RDA analysis using bacterial community data and environmental data as explanatory variables.

I have some variables that are percentages, others are direct measures of physicochemical parameters and other are ratios.

Should I first scale all variables to make them uniform due to the different units and magnitudes? if so, should I use z-score for all or it is a different way for percentages or ratios?

And after scaling (and not before) should I check for normality (which is the best way here?) and transform those variables with a non-normal distribution to get a distribution closer to normal? should I try different transfromations for percentages (like arcsin) or apply log10 transformation to all?

I am lost at this, before doing an RDA or even a biplot PCA I don't know how to proceed. Advise is welcome. Thanks!

I have a question about how to report the results of a series of simple linear regression in a table, where I have continuous, binary and categorical predictors.

In my descriptive text, I reported Beta, p-value, 95% CI for continuous and binary predictors and for the categorical predictor, I reported the F statistic and p-value (Prob >F). However, the reviewer asked me to put everything in a Table and leave out the descriptive text. I am not sure if I should report both beta and F statistic in my table since usually we don't need the F statistic for continuous and binary predictors. I have attached my attempt to turn the descriptive text in a table (I ended up reporting beta for each level rather than the F statistic for my categorical predictor to be consistent with the other predictors). I am not sure if I am doing it correctly or the table should be formatted differently. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could advise on this matter. Please feel free to make edits to my table to illustrate your point when you reply. Thank you!
