Question
Asked 15th Nov, 2015

Is there any reliable source for bilateral Imports and exports other than stats.oecd?

I am trying to download annual data of bilateral imports and exports between different countries. I used STAN bilateral trade database on stats.oecd, but the mirror flows often do not match between two countries due to different values reported by countries and these differences are significant in many cases.
Any suggestions for an alternative ?

You did not mention the geographical coverage you're looking for.
For European countries you can also check the data from Eurostat. http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/data/database
These can also be useful in order to compare with other sources and check on consistency.

 Hi Ali,
have a look to UNCTAD dataset which provides data on Intra-trade and extra-trade of country groups by product (http://unctadstat.unctad.org/wds/ReportFolders/reportFolders.aspx) and to the  World Integrated Trade Solution (WITS) by World Bank (http://data.worldbank.org/data-catalog/wits) which gives access to bilateral trade between countries based on various product classifications, product details, years, and trade flows.
Hope it helps

Hi! Try IMF data (http://www.imf.org/en/Data) and Direction of Trade Statistics (DOTS).

Dear Ali,
I think it is worth to glance at International Trade Statistics 2015, https://www.wto.org/english/res_e/statis_e/its2015_e/its2015_e.pdf - chapter I (especially  p. 48), chapter II  and  III.
I hope this publication would be helpful.
Kind regards
Barbara

Yes WITS is an easy access to UN COMTRADE daya that is the best source for merchandise trade, bilateral flows. However if you wish to have services included you have to go to the other sources, listed in the other replies.
