Is artificial intelligence the future of computer science?
Certainly.
Computer Science, or Computing, Computer Studies, Information Technology (IT) and Information and Computing Technology (ICT), is about data computation and data processes, as programs and algorithms to manipulate, store, and communicate digital information.
AI Science is to embrace the CS paradigms as science, technology, and mathematics, theory, abstraction (modeling), and design
AI Computer Science is to be about world’s data computation and processes, as intelligent programs and smart algorithms, to manipulate, store, interpret, learn, understand and communicate digital information.

I am not sure whether it is a question or a comment, but I agree with you that many aspects of the CS will be about developing AI algorithms and systems to develop, design, maintain, improve, ...etc. applications for all sectors of life around us.

Yes, in my opinion, the technology of artificial intelligence is, however, of the key technologies of the current technological revolution Industry 4.0. Artificial intelligence technology is developing rapidly and is used in various fields of industry and services. AI will be the future of CS because human likes anything to make his life easy.
In 1955, the young computer scientist named John McCarthy at the age of 28 coined Artificial Intelligence. From then one can see many developments in industries through Artificial Intelligence technology. Thou very few understood the importance of it and was not highlighted.
Now that the knowledge of AI increased and its development is recognized all over the world in many areas. New innovative approaches of AI have made the industries work smoother and efficient way. The blend of two technologies i.e AI plus any other technology give way to marvelous services.
So, nothing new about AI. It was and will be one among the future technology.
