Is anyone working with Wireless Sensor networks which support the Multimedia Traffic?

Especially for indoor applications, the most used sensor implement in their architecture the ZigBee standard which have very poor bandwidth and rate (250kb/s). This rate isn't useful for the multimedia traffic and communication in WSN. Due to this, is there anyone who worked with the Multimedia traffic in WSN?

I tried once, got the impression as you have. So probably Multimedia WSN is just a concept that was created for publishing papers. I'm working on building automation, in which we would use wired networks to stream video contents ;-)

Hello, I am using MiXiM/Inet with OMNET++, I am using in my NED design a hybrid wireless node, and when I run the simulation, it asks me to enter the NIC type, here is the message
Enter Parameter "hybrid.wirelessnode.nictype"
I would define, WiFi, B.T. and ZigBee.
What are the parameters to be fed?
Also, if I can fed them in .ini configuration file.

How can I change the APS layer in zigbee stack? I have implemented the base codes for controlling the congestion, I just need to know where is APS codes.

I have implemented WPAN (Zigbee) on my system. On the console screen it is showing that only Channel No.11 is utilized though every node is scanning channels 11,12,13. How can I make it multichannel? I am sending my out put file.
How can I utilize the zigbee standard regarding WSNs?

I must evaluate the zigbee performance for tree topology in opnet (Riverbed ) academic edition.I set up riverbed academic and I have created topology but it is not possible to select or change other zigbee topologies. I should use this for wireless sensor networks analysis. Can you help what to do?

As a part of my project, data needs to be sent from zigbee nodes to a Wifi server in OPNET 17.5. I am not able to find  a zigbee gateway that implements both zigbee stack and wireless stack readily available in OPNET, to connect these nodes to the server.
It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can provide me helpful information on the gateway that is already implemented or the source code if available.
