Is anyone aware of studies involving the perceived forward feeding motion of a consequent syllabic or melodic phrase after an antecedent phrase?

I am researching the effects which stressed syllabic phrasal length has upon the acceleration, deceleration, or halting of motion.  I hope to find studies which make use of Gestalt psychological principles, in a combinatoric and qualitative analysis of accentual poetic meter and music.
