Is LAP (LAMBERT Academic Publishing) is an authentic publisher?
I am receiving emails to publish my already published paper or other material related to that paper free of cost to LAMBERT Academic publishing where it will be sold worldwide. I don't know if it is authentic or not? and if It is, would it be beneficial to me? Anyone having an idea about this?
Thanks in anticipation.

Also, you note they want to pilublish your "...already published paper." Do you mean a thesis or are you talking about something already published in another journal? If already published in another journal, they may not allow further publication. For one thing, could you be sued?
sure i am also receiving mails from them. asking that i submit my work for free publication. tried to check them in predatory list did not see them and also on bealli's list, yet i am not sure of them. please let me know their authenticity.
Dear Muhammad Samie ,
Lambert Academic Publishing is a scam. Lambert Academic Publishing (LAP) is a company that spams scholars who have published theses offering to republish them as books. Lambert Academic Publishing is an example of a predatory publisher that frequently contact researchers and students. Sterne described the way they do business as follows:
"They [Lambert] claim your intellectual property and publish it without proper peer review or academic editorial process, which means that they have just devalued your thesis that You might otherwise have revised, improved, and published in a more appropriate scholarly outlet (in whole or in part). This is no small thing, as your thesis is the cornerstone of the next few years of your academic career."
Sterne, Jonathan (02.02.2012): Why You Shouldn’t Publish with Lap Lambert, German Publishing House. URL: http://superbon.net/?p=2234
Why is Lambert Academic Publishing not listed in Beall’s list?
Well a bit complicated: LAP is an imprint of VDM Publishing, which is headquartered in Saarbrücken, Germany. Omniscriptum Publishing Group, formerly known as VDM Verlag Dr. Müller, is a German publishing group headquartered in Riga, Latvia, with offices in Latvia, Mauritius, and Moldova. It is not a publisher of (open access) journals so it is not included in the list of predatory publishers (simply out of scope). By the way they are mentioned in the so-called Vanity Press list: https://beallslist.net/vanity-press/
See for more info on the working practise and business model of Omniscriptum:
PS. An estimate for the legitimacy of a publisher is whether it can be found here: http://wokinfo.com/mbl/ Lambert gives 0 hits...While Springer gave >18000
I believe it is a predatory publisher that will publish anything without even editing for major language issues (this is true even for books). I have seen a few books on Amazon.com published by Lambert Academic Publishers. I was astonished by the lack of any meaningful description about the books. Only a short paragraph on the back cover full of language problems and vague statements.
I ventured in to the academic world( of publications and research) few months back and managed to get few papers published in decent peer-reviewed journals. I received quite a few emails requesting submission of articles, by Journals which bore the name' International'. When searched in beall' s updated list, all were listed unsurprisingly. This is the same (which i also was invited for a 1000 word monograph!!!). Reputed journals do not scout for authors or material to publish. Almost always, if oterwise, it is a scam or a predatory!
I have been receiving same request from LAMBERT ACADEMIC PUBLISHERS, LAP, as well of resent. Although in my correspondence with them, I've asked them to first contact the CHIEF EDITOR of the journal of those articles first. I believe the chief editor will further contact me if necessary.
Hello and greetings. A publishing company can have several journals. And every journal has got ISSN number. Hence you copy and paste the desired journals ISSN number on scopus and web of science. If It's indexed and has a decent rank such as Q3 or Q4, indexed for few years and decent H-index (above 10 in my opinion), you are good to go.
The first red flag is the publisher asking you to submit your paper, which is already published elsewhere. Second, they are assuring you free of cost publishing. Third which bookstores will it sell your publication too? Fourth, is there a flow chart to providing a brief of timelines related to publishing your work? As stated by others even I read about this publications after one of my teachers negatively reviewed the publishing house only to be found out that it indeed is a predatory publisher lacking any credentials. Given that it has zero credibility and is lesser known in terms of its contribution to the publishing field, I suggest you rather go with a publishing house which is less known, but has good credentials to realise the real worth of your work. All the best!
Lambert Publishers are not Journal publishers. They publish books, monographs and Theses in book forms. They distribute their contents on Amazon, Morebooks.com and in other non-English stores after translation. Authors can order physical copies of their books for sales (but not compulsory). All books are assigned ISBNs and they give royalty on sales made to authors from time to time. Whether it is predatory? I think so, as no serious peer review is done. I can only recommend that authors vet all their contents very thoroughly before sending them out. Predatoriness also begins from the author. What is important is the distribution of the books in over 8 translations that they will do. I am not endorsing them but sharing this piece based on my experience. The decision is up to you
@Wesam Ahmed Tawfik
Amazon is a publishing outfit where you can SELF-PUBLISH your manuscript with their robust formatting software.
They review your manuscript before publishing it
They operate on royalty 60/70% system on every book sold.
You can monitor your books and how it is being sold....
I have checked it and found the company unreliable, and it engages in unethical practices. So please, do not accept their invitation. This company primarily fishes for new customers online. Every time they see a new person publishes an article, they will solicit the person to publish with them. So watch out, and do not be fooled or duped by them. It is a scam.
Thank you for paying attention and taking each other advise. I will find some reliable journals U have used in the past and list them for the colleagues to use. Some of them are free of charge and other with a small fee. Thanks
Publication is authentic as because valid ISBN number. But the process of publication reduce quality of the containt , at least one revision by expart is very important to improve the quality which is not done by Lambart publishing house. It is one type of self publication.
Now you can publish your own book yourself and sell it on Amazon. They pick up the book from your home, once there is an order, just pack it and keep it ready. We at the iNaturewatch Foundation have our own publishing company, Birdwing Publishing, and we sell our publications on our website and Amazon also sells our books. You do not need any publisher now. Do it yourself!
Another victim of LAP. It is definitely predatory publisher! I do not know if the author of this 60 pages book is aware ofthis fact.
Lambert Academic Publishing: A Must to Avoid
Recommendation: Do not do any business with Lambert Academic Publishing...
there are people who call it a scam and fraud. yet there are those who dont. My opinion is its far better get your book published by some international publisher rather than from a local street corner bookstore type publisher. At-least your book will reach far more international audience and presence on Amazon. About royalty payment i would say I got my first book published twelve years ago and total five books published but I did not get a single penny in royalty. But I don't care about it. My books are online for sale and I show my peers and students and they get impressed. Cheers
Well, I have seen people publishing my doctoral thesis available on UAM website, copied and published in LAP lambert... and have gained a higher position in academic management.... HELL TO THEM.... THIS IS SCAM PUBLISHING an dthey should be put behind bars.. for all copyright infringements.... shameless fellows.
it's your doctoral thesis you have the proof for it so write the email to the editors and publishers showing the proof that the thesis is urs and demand to transfer the thesis on your name and ask the editors and publishers to black lost the person who have uploaded your thesis don't waste your hard. same thing has been happen to me and i did complain about it to editors and publishers.
TU Delft advises students not to work with these publishers. Always check a publisher’s reputation and carefully check the conditions of any agreement. The most important vanity publisher is Omniscriptum, that operates under a number of names or imprints, including Scholars’ Press and LAP Lambert. The latter is especially active in sending many TU Delft students soliciting e-mails...
I do not have anything to add to the other questions and jeremiads...I live and work in Italy and this nation is notorious all over the world to be fraudolent and scammer.....so, I am a habitué about deceits in all the fields of commerce and I.P.

Lambert Academic Publishing is a scam. LAP is a company based in Mauritius and Eastern Europe that spams scholars who have published theses offering to republish them as books.
The naive and gullible agree, and after zero editing or reviewing (changes are even charged for!) LAP create a front cover using stock art and place the "book" online (on their own site and sister sites, and on Amazon) for sale at high prices with no indication that this work is an unedited thesis. The only sales will be to unwary libraries or hobbyists, but the author never sees a penny of those sales.
Then begins the next stage of the scam - the hard sell. Scholars are drawn in by the promise of royalties but these are a mirage. In reality, LAP presses authors to buy expensive copies of their own book! Not only do these authors risk being out-of-pocket, but they also risk damaging their reputation by publishing with LAP.

Today I received an email from "firstname.lastname@example.org" with the following text:

There was also a nomination link, which I removed from the text above and that I did not try to open, as well as the abstract of a paper that was accepted a few days ago and made available online about 10 hours before that mail was being sent. According to the website (https://sciencefather.com/awards/), one needs to pay a registration fee in order to apply for an award. Is this a new scam? Thanks for your help.

What does the status from required reviews completed back to editor assigned indicates?
- Mohd Shariq
I have submitted my paper to one of the springer journal. For the first week of submission, the status was "with editor" and then it changed to under review for one week, then reviewers asigned for the next two days then again changed to under review for 10 days then finally to "required reviews completed". The status reviews completed was for one week and then it changed to with editor again for last 10 days. Now my question is if it is rejection then the editor would immediately send the rejection letter. Why the editor is taking time to decide? Is it a good sign or a bad one??
