I completely agree with Dr. Ajit Singh, however, in my opinion, a specific review topic would suitably provide more insight into a specific topic of interest especially in medical fields. In the development of medicine huge number of scaffolds are tested but only 1-2 pass through all the stages of clinical trials.

A specific review would ensure researchers to draw out conclusions from a particular topic-its advantages and disadvantages. To which way it is working and which way it is not. A particular direction is provided by a specific literature review.

A general review will more specifically discusses the advances of such topic of interests. The serious problem and the through drawbacks is hardly discussed.

The best review article is that focusing on a specific important topic, when you give all related ideas to that article, interconnect, and then conclude and recommend, the specific article will be the best.
