In the era of databases like Scopus, ScienceDirect, Web of science etc. Is Google Scholar is still a viable source to search articles for a review?
For writing a review-based paper, if we search articles on Scopus, ScienceDirect and Web of science will that be enough?
Most recent answer
Isn't about how you search ! Its about what you search .

I think so, because many times, Google Scholar offers the possibility of finding the full version of the article.

Almost all the reviewers of good journals look for a very robust methodology while evaluating one's review article, Some well-respected reviewers of good Journals don't even like sources from Scopus let alone Google Scholar in a Review Article. They mostly prefer Web of Science Database or Papers belonging to the Journals from ABDC or ABS list. So, To my mind, Google Scholar is not a trusted source for writing Review Articles.
