Can anyone help me identify this species of fungus?

Free or low in price software with all possible module.

I need at least 5 articles on how to identify fungi on a petri dish at least up to the genus level.

I'm wondering if the mold is sufficient enough or you need to scrape off some parts(?) of it and place it on a slide and stain then observe it under a microscope.

If some require some identification kits please provide some links or manufacturers name o where to buy these

I am currently using 3D-printed molds to fabricate PDMS microfluidic devices. The molds are made of resin using DLP 3D printing technology. Despite numerous experiments, I’ve achieved very limited success in obtaining complete PDMS structures from the molds. I’m reaching out for advice—why is it so difficult to demold PDMS from these molds? What steps could I try next to improve my results?

Here are the details of my process:

The resin primarily consists of butyl acrylate.

After printing, the molds are cured under UV light for 1–2 hours.

The molds are then heated at 40–60°C for 6 hours to ensure the surface becomes solid and dry.

I apply surface treatments to reduce adhesion:

HMDS: I coat the mold surface with hexamethyldisilazane for 0.5~4 hours.

Siloxane-based mold release agent: Applied mold release agent as recommended by the PDMS supplier.

Unfortunately, these treatments have not significantly improved the demolding process. I have only managed to obtain a few intact PDMS structures.

I suspect the difficulty might be due to the roughness of the resin mold surface, but I am not certain. Recently, I tried plasma treatment on the mold surface (200 W, 1 minute), which showed slight improvement. However, when I extended the plasma treatment duration to 5 minutes, the PDMS became even harder to demold.

Has anyone faced similar challenges? What other methods or adjustments would you recommend? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I cultured primary fibroblast cells that I got from the isolation of the skin of the back of baby mice aged <7 days. the media I used was DMEM media with 10% FBS and I added alfalfa plant extracts with a concentration of 2.5% and 5%, each of which had been diluted with 0.1% DMSO solvent.

after 3-4 days of incubation, there was a fungal growth that filled the growth plate. there are still cells visible on the microscope, but it is more dominant fungus.

can you help me to evaluate my work, maybe there are components that should not be used and so on.

Typical mold powder compositions(wt%) are given as

SiO2=33, CaO=20, MgO=1.5, Al2O3=6.0, Na2O=10.5, K2O=1.5, Fe2O3=2.5, MnO=0.1, Cfree=20.5, CO2=6.5, Ctotal=22.0, F=5.0.

For estimating CaF2 wt% in mold powder, should I calculate stoichiometric CaF2 based on F wt% present in mold powder.

If yes, than CaO wt% have to reduce to compensate Ca present in CaF2.

In that case, basicity of mold powder also decreases since CaO wt% will reduce.

Hi there, I am looking to develop a soft dry EEG electrode. I have heard of conductive polymers like polypyrrole and PEDOT-PSS but they are in powder form. I want it in liquid form so that I could mix some harder at some ratio and pour it into a mold. I am also planning to add conductive metal powder. Kindly guide me.
