I am writing a research proposal on the role of digital diplomacy in promoting global actions for climate change. In this proposal i want to introduce a term "Digital climate Diplomacy" which describes how countries strategically use digital technologies and platforms to:
  • Increase public awareness about climate change
  • Encourage international cooperation on the issue
  • Shape global efforts to address it
Current terms like "climate diplomacy" cover a wider range of diplomatic efforts on climate actions and "Digital diplomacy" focuses on various digital communication goals. So, Digital climate diplomacy provides a clearer picture of how specific digital tools can be used to promote international collaboration on a critical global challenge.

X=categorical IV (X1, X2)
M1,M2,Y=continuous variables
First:
1. compare X1 and X2, and hypothesize that X1 will predict higher Y
2. X1 will predict M1
3. M1 will predict M2
4. X1 will predict M2
5. M1 will mediates between X1 and M2
6. X1 will predict Y
7. M2 will predict Y
8. M2 will mediates between X1 and Y
*Should I repeat everything from step 2-8 for X2? I'm only interested in X1 sample.

Currently, I have a simple mediation with x, y and m variables. path A is significant, path b is significant and path c is significant, however the total effect is not significant after bootstrapping nor indirect effects, c prime is more significant than c and is against the hypothesis. how would I report this in results?

I am currently working on a research with 2 IVs (both are categorical with 2 levels), 1 mediator and 1 DV. Apart from the mediation effects, I am also interested in the interaction effect of the two IVs. Which statistical method should I use? Can I use PROCESS Model? Please let me know, many thanks.
