How to make a Happiness Index?

I'm working on a project that looks at the relationship between religion and individual level tolerance for corruption within society 

In recent years, the growing concerns for climate change have been the driving force for a group of  social responses. Concepts such ecologism, environmentalism and sustainavility have been widely discussed, sometimes with a lot of ubiquity.

The question is an invitation to eliciting the differences between these concepts and clarify the theoretical bases.

I am trying to develop a comprehensive list of open access databases in social sciences in order to facilitate students, researchers, and scholars. Please suggest as much as you can.

My research is focused on the traditional apartments of Brasília, Brasil's modernist capital. I'm intersted in understanding the transformations of the domestic space along time.

I am interested in the leisure pursuits of older migrant (first generation) people and the ways in which such activities shapes their everyday lives and rituals as well as the impact leisure in shaping performances of wellbeing (individual and collective). For example, first generation Caribbean migrants living in the UK and the role and significance of playing dominos and the annual domino competitions which see groups of teams travelling throughout the UK.

Question: What research has or is currently being done in this area? information re.references, comments on your or your colleagues' work  in this area, and ideas for future collaborations will be gratefully received!! 

I am trying to establish a conceptual framework that requires a robust appreciation of rules.

My current thinking is that the dictionary definition of a rule is fine as a starting point (an authoritative, prescribed direction for conduct) but there are many attributes that are important to understanding the finer details.

These are the key attributes as I see them:

• Content – The circumstances of application and the prescribed direction

• Source – The authority that has defined a rule, such as government, organization, individual agreement (usually backed by the state), or culture

• Legitimacy – The extent to which a rule is considered by those to whom it applies to be morally sound and fairly enforced

• Enforceability – The extent to which rule violation can be observed and offenders consistently sanctioned

• Impact – The extent to which rule violation is of concern

• Specificity – The extent to which actions are constrained by compliance

I would be very grateful for any suggestions and references. I haven’t been able to find any papers that address this question directly.
