How to determine the molecular formula of the mixture synthesized?
I am chemical engineer working on the synthesis of two compounds (carbon compound along with polymer). What are the technologies/methods/ways on discovering or identifying the exact mixture that been synthesized?

Dear Malini Kanapathy, you have to separate the two compound for accurate analysis. After that, the polymer and the carbon compound are subjected to characterization. These include, NMR, elemental analysis, FT-IR, viscometry/GPC, DSC, and so on. My Regards

As mentioned by Abdelkader BOUAZIZ , try to separate the two compounds for accurate analysis. Since you are dealing with polymers, you may need to use Gas Permeation Chromatography (GPC) to find the number/weight average MW of the polymer. You can use NMR & FTIR to find the chemical structure.
