How technology could shape human evolution?
I have a question or a discussion regarding human evolution in the future, if technology makes human being overcome limits of physiological stress as extreme temperatures , how evolutionary forces could shape our future ? as consequence , changes in human future lineage are not related with the distribution of the species . How traits are selected if we preserve most of the genetic pool trough Medicine , Technology , etc ?

Dear Daniel,
A key issue for formulating a research problem is to develop a research language and to define terms precisely. Well, it is first necessary to resolve what we call the evolution of the human species. Whether evolution is a process determined by civilisational factors or not. If, for the purposes of these considerations, we assume that the evolution of living organisms (flora and fauna) is a process that usually takes place over a period of many millions of years, then unfortunately we are not in a position to say what human civilisation and technology will look like in a few million years. Besides, it is unlikely that human civilisation will survive another few centuries let alone a few million years. In my opinion, a particularly important issue is whether the technological progress that is taking place will make it possible to create new eco-innovations and green technologies that would make it possible to carry out a complete pro-environmental transformation of the economy in the next few to several years, to build a world based on a sustainable, green closed-circuit economy, in which the consumption of natural resources would be significantly reduced, the level of environmental pollution and greenhouse gas emissions would fall, etc. If this were to be achieved, humanity would avoid a global climate catastrophe and would survive until the 22nd century. Unfortunately, if this plan fails to materialise, the global climate catastrophe resulting from the accelerating process of global warming could, before the end of the present 21st century, annihilate most of the species of flora and fauna still living on planet Earth. For these life forms, an evolution that has lasted millions of years could come to a definitive end. In view of the above, it may also be interesting to consider the evolution of those few physiologically and organically simpler life forms that would manage to survive a global climate catastrophe, with the additional assumption that, unfortunately, humans will not be among these life forms. The evolution of dinosaurs took hundreds of millions of years and did not result in the emergence of intelligent dinosaurs with comparable intelligence to humans. Of course, we do not know what would have happened if a large asteroid had not hit the Earth and annihilated the dinosaurs. Human evolution, on the other hand, is only about 1 million years. During this period, an intelligent life form arose, built a civilisation and dominated the entire planet 'ecosystem'. But is it really intelligent if it leads to its own annihilation and, in the process, the annihilation of many other life forms. Is this a dead end of the evolutionary process. No, because evolution is not a deliberate process, but a mechanism for the continued existence of specific forms of life adapting to the slowly changing conditions of the ecosystemic, natural, climatic, geological, cosmic environment, and so on. Does evolution interpreted in this way apply to modern humans homo sapiens. In my opinion NO.
Best regards,
Dariusz

I would love for you to clarify the question. Seems like a very interesting one!

It is so much easier to reason after the fact and make up “just-so stories” than it is to actually determine the “how and why” of things. But we are at a critical inflection point in human history, with dwindling resources and huge pressures for food, water, and medicine brought on by climate change in combination with globalization of economies. The question of whether or not modern humans are still evolving is being asked more than ever with the vast amount of technology, culture and medicine which have the ability to buffer environmental stressors that would otherwise drive evolutionary adaptations in humans. The purpose of this paper was to determine, in spite of these "advances," if mo...
