How can we extract digital elevation data from Google Earth?

Is there any option or methodology to download Google Earth's Digital Elevation Data?
Is there any tools or software available to extract the digital elevation model (DEM) of Google Earth?

You can go for SRTM DEM for better and accurate rest. Based on the software (Peferably Arc GIS?Edras Imaagine/Q GIS) you can find numerous videos in the you tube.

hi dear, you can use TCX converter software for elevation points extraction (kml) and then interpolate the obtained points under Arcgis

I am an undergraduate student doing a thesis regarding slope stability analysis using PLAXIS 2D. My study area is at Kajang, Malaysia. I only assumed the phreatic water level because I don't have any borehole data. I have already done the model but I have questions regarding my model:
1. Is the water level that I have marked and assumed logical? (40 m above flat land)
2. What does the legend on the right represent, and is it the FOS? (The FOS that I obtained from the model is 1.780 as shown in the picture below)
3. Is the part that I have marked in the picture the critical slip surface (Picture 3)?

Dissipated energy in 4PB tests and Shear

Dear colleagues,
Dissipated energy plays an important role in the analysis of 4PB tests. It is well known that the total deflection Vt in a 4PB test has to be split up into 2 parts (Vb, Vs). The deflection Vb due to pure bending (and giving the horizontal strain) is the greatest. The deflection Vs (induced by shear forces in the beam) does not contribute to the horizontal strain and is small (Vs is 3-5% of Vb depending on the dimensions of the beam). The total dissipated energy in the 4PB device is given by the product of load, Vt (at the inner clamps), and the phase lag between force and deflection. But how do you calculate the dissipated energy due to shear at the bottom/top surface of the beam? A second question is: Does this dissipated shear energy contribute(or is it related) to fatigue damage? I'm curious what is your opinion about this.

I am trying to simulate thermal stress on Sn, Ta, Pb, Ag, and, Ti features using ANSYS. However, I can't find any reliable source for the mechanical properties of these materials. Is there any online material property database? Or are there any keywords I should add while searching for such properties?
Properties I am looking for:
- Young's modulus, could be isotropic or orthotropic;
- Poisson's ratio, could be isotropic or orthotropic;
- Coefficient of thermal expansion;
- Thermal conductivity;
- Specific heat;
- Density.

I am currently a 3rd year Civil Engineering Undergraduate. I have a particular interest in the Geotechnical discipline, which I have come to learn that a good base of report writing skills are needed to convey your designs. Not to mention the various types of reports which I would needed to become familiar with.
Would anyone have any text books or courses they would recommend to improve my grammatical and writing skills, perhaps specifically catered towards Civil/Geotechnical Engineering Reports? I am taking this opportunity to prepare for both my thesis project next year and my future career.
