What aspect of socialist history and heritage do you want to study? The extent of support by the general public? The kinds of policies pursued, and their degree of success or failure? The conformance of adopted policy with the 'theory of socialism' as outlined by various theorists? The consistency and/or change in policies over the years in response to different challenges? Each of these questions, and all of them, are relevant in some way to the history and heritage of socialism. So you want to study all of them, or some of them, or something entirely different?
