How would you compare Big Blue Button (bbb) vs Microsoft Zoom in online teaching ?
I have used bbb in online teaching and Zoon in online conference. I would like you to share your experience with me if you have used any of them. Please share any technical problems.

From my opinion, i like Zoom more. With bbb, sometimes i need to refresh the page once every a while so that my students can here my voice clearly.

I have used BBB and zoom both. But I found BBB much easier than zoom also safer in terms of controlling anonymous participants. I agree BBB has issues with refreshing though.

There are many tools for meetings or teaching online, and I will recommend Google Meet or Hangouts Meet app (Android). Recently I saw that many colleagues recommending Zoom too, but my experience with that tool is poor. Google Meet allow you to make videos of your meetings/on-line classes, but recording features are available with the G Suite Enterprise and G Suite Enterprise for Education editions.

Flash player is the foundation of BBB, and Flash Player will disappear at final of 2020

In addition, Flash Player is not secure and Adobe and a large portion of browser do not recommend its use
To Edgardo Samuel Barraza Verdesoto: I found that the latest BigBlueButton release features an HTML5 client, i.e. BigBlueButton offers a pure HTML5 client!

Do we really need to publish in English? I think we do unless we find another international working language to communicate with colleagues, and people in general, who use a language different than ours. Remember that, throughout history, scholars have always found one or a small group of working languages to communicate with each other (Latin, German, French, among others).
But, now that we use English, ... do we have alternatives to communicate our findings in our own language? Some people say we don´t because we have to invest every second of our time publishing in English. Some others say that we must find a way to save some time to publish in our language in order to better develop our ideas and to better communicate with our own societies. There must be other perspectives out there....please, let us know what would you do to reconcile the different alternatives, and bring solutions into practice, and also tell us what are your institutions doing to address this issue.
