Some papers contain separate results and discussion sections. However some papers have clubbed "results and discussion section. What is better?

During the subculturing of an MCF-7 cell line, the cells were trypsinized and transferred to a new flask. Initially, the cells grew normally, with no unusual objects observed. However, after one week, when the cells became confluent, black structures appeared. Following another round of trypsinization, these structures became more distinct. Throughout this period, the medium remained stable, showing no changes in pH or turbidity.

Could these structures indicate contamination?

Hi all, I made synthetic wastewater samples and I was wondering if the integrity of the ions might change if stored for long time outside the fridge before analysis. Say foe example, I prepare diluted them in nitric acid and store them in the ICP-OES rack, however, they're analysed after 2-3 weeks.
