How can digital rights of internet users be safeguarded?

Increasing privileged rights of internet users is shared out without their consent? What can be done to enforce protection personal identification information?

Good question. Perhaps User Centered Designs (UCD) are one of the approaches could be the way. Internet protocols do have the desired interfacing attributes.

the more functionality we want the more privacy we have to sacrifice. all we can do is ensure that each subsystem handling PII follows international standards and that there are managed security controls for each internal and external boundary.
The most important factor is the individual awareness, but this itself is not enough, We need more controls to improve and stop any share without the owner approval
