Has a comprehensive simulation model of society been built or being building?
In this model,if we input a policy,or more generally, input an individual's key actions,we can work out its impact on all aspects of society(Such as the proportion of people with happiness above 90, the proportion of poor people, thoughts held by people and their proportion…).
Best to first articulate the problem you want to solve. Make it small by focusing on only one or a few aspects. So that the eventual model is not complex and can be quickly built. Meanwhile, what do you intend to model in the society? And for what purpose would the model be used? These need to be answered first before knowing what variables to include in the model.
Hello Lei, as a modeller you need to set the boundaries and scope: what is in scope and out of scope.
You should not model a whole "system" but a "problem" in the system. That way you are focused and the task is achievable. You can start this way and add other variables as you build, that is if you need to. Otherwise, take the other problem or variable as another mini-model and build it comprehensively. At some point you can connect both or multiple mini-models. Otherwise, you will find it very hard to understand your model, let alone validate it
Finding suitable analysis techniques for networks generated from social processes is a difficult task when the population changes over time. Traditional social network analysis measures may not work in such circumstances. It is argued that agent-based social networks should not be constrained by a priori assumptions about the evolved network and/or...
