Anyone working on the criminal justice topic of "Swatting"?

If you give prisoners in the U.S. an option to get classes in order to become teachers for impoverished areas and in return for a reduced sentence for only criminals for petty crimes. Would this be a good idea?

Hello, I am interested in literature that deals with captive populations in research from a methodological perspective. I have researching women who are witnesses in criminal proceedings against their traffickers. Throughout this process, one question has bothered me, namely: did these women give their consent freely for me to observe their in camera depositions? Or where they like other captive populations, for example prisoners, compelled by other forces and power relationships to agree?

Corona spread in India is the highest at present and numbers are daily increasing. We find that about 30 percent people do not use masks and many are keeping mask below the mouth to escape from police so that they can pull it to cover mouth and nose when a traffic signal is nearby.

The corona has affected the economy of India worst than any other country in the world and GDP is highest in negative direction. it is affecting the poor very badly. Many shops and small entrepreneurs are forced to close their business.

With all the above conditions, Indian citizens in large number are not taking the condition seriously. This phenomenon is quite strange and worth for research to understand the intention and behavior of these people. is there any effect of culture on irresponsible behavior? Whether, the information given by WHO that death rate of young people due to COVID-19 is negligible, is the reason for negligence? Whether people want to show that they are more immunized? What is the role of social stigma of considering corona patients as persons who committed sins so they got corona, and role social stigma of boycott of family having corona patient forcing the people to hide the illness?

I am doing research for a PhD proposal in Visual Arts. I plan to engage with women prisoners incarcerated for killing their abusers in a practice-led, participatory project including a thesis, exhibition and exhibition catalogue.

Any assistance with recent articles (law, sociology, psychology) will be greatly appreciated since I am only able to register in Jan 2024.

In health care and also as a staff member in prison it's forbidden to have contact with former prisoners our ex-clients. This is almost impossible when You are an experience expert in recovery.

Does it actually say anything at all? But many theories and essays have been produced on its results.

This famous experiment focused on power, simulating prison conditions where some students acted as prisoners, others as wardens. According to the experiment, some of the students acting as wardens became bullying, even sadistic. This and Milgram´s equally famous experiment was a reaction to WW2 and the way supposedly ordinary Germans did appalling things to Jews and prisoners of war. After, on trial, each claimed they were simply obeying orders.

The students were not told about the point of the experiment nor in fact given counselling after.

The recent evidence is tapes with the organiser , Zimbardo, exhorting some of the students acting as wardens to be more aggressive, even feign brutality thereby corrupting the results of the experiment.

Is modern psychology about half-truths, unproven assertions?
