Any dendrologist focused on tropical trees (Sumatra)?

I am interested in identifying seedlings in the forest floor but I am currently concerned about the difficulty of the taxonomy in this life stage of plants. Is there any ID key or manual ? Is it hard or easy ? Thank you!

I have a data set of chemical and physical traits (and herbivory data) from trees and vines at one of my study sites. Unfortunately, there was no overlap in the families trees vs vines came from at this study site. How do I account for the phylogenetic diversity in my analysis?

I have problems interpreting article 9.8 of the ICN, which states that: "An epitype is a specimen or illustration selected to serve as an interpretative type when the holotype, lectotype, or previously designated neotype, or all original material associated with a validly published name, is demonstrably ambiguous and cannot be critically identified for purposes of the precise application of the name to a taxon".

Suppose that a specimen bearing leaves and flowers, not in contrast with the protologue, is selected as a lectotype. Aterwards, fruits are needed to clarify the application of the name. If a specimen from the original material, other than the lectotype, bears fruits, could/should it be selected as an epitype? If so, what does the phrase "or all original material" actually mean? If not, how can the application of the name be fixed in case the fruits on different specimens from the original material are taxonomicaslly ambiguous?

I am working on Balkan Stipa species and the key in Flora Europaea seems to be a little bit out of date.

We have in our arboretum an unknown Pinus species (see two pictures in the attachment). It is a tall, straight tree of ca. 15 meters (although still quite young). It was labeled as Pinus densiflora… but this is must be wrong, since our taxon has bundles of 5 needles. Do you know a specialist who could help us in identifying this species?

I am working on natural population of Digitalis (foxglove species). inflorescense axis and bracts of species A (D. lanata) densely villouse like wool. However, at higher altitudes (6 versus 1100 m), closely related species B and C based on molecular and chemical investigations, have only slightly villouse structures. What might be the role(s) of this hairy formation for adataptation?

1- i want to know if the production of plant product (flavonol) related to other character in plant ?

2- if yes that mean two genes are related ?

3- how to study this correlation between genes and covariance?
