Abaqus dilation angle ?

I am a new user for abaqus and I have modeled a linear RCC coupling beam in Abaqus but while analysis it showing error like "Time increment is less than the minimum specified" . so, How to fix this error ? Thanks for help in advance.

When I try to start a simulation in ABAQUS CAE with *.inp and *.f(umat file). The abaqus just prompt an error:"Unable to start analysis job" and stop without any debug message. The example files in the Abaqus Document do not work either. I tried every method on the Internet but all failed. Do someone know how to deal with this problem? Thanks a lot!

When using Return Mapping algorithm, I implement Newton–Raphson iteration to reach the value of plastic multiplier. I know that the total value of plastic multiplier should not be negative. But, what should I do if one increment of plastic multiplier in an iteration is negative. Should I stop iteration or continue or what?

I have developed a VUMAT material model for Johnson-Cook plasticity. Now, I have to add Johnson-Cook damage/failure model to my code.

Johnson-Cook Damage model :

D = ∑ εp(eff)/εf

Fracture strain:

εf = [D1 + D2exp(D3σ*)][1 + D4(εp*)][1+ D5T*]

How can I calculate equivalent plastic strain increment, εp(eff)? Though I have already calculated equivalent deviatoric plastic strain increment in the VUMAT.

And how can I update the new stress after every time step?

I am doing a beam-column joint model in Abaqus. I have assigned all these things which are required to describe the model and run in Abaqus. Whenever I'm trying to run the model it shows the error message. How can I solve this?

I'm applying a cyclic load of 5kN (sine wave using periodic loading) on steel roof batten using DIRECT CYCLIC method in Abaqus.

i have used KINEMATIC HARDENING to simulate plastic RATCHETTING.

i am getting this error message "too many attempts made for this increment" when i increase kinematic hardening parameter C1 or cyclic loading above a certain level. for eg, model runs fine for C1 = 8000 for 5kN, but it doesn't work for C1 =80000, also C1 = 8000 doesn't work for load greater than 6kN.

i have changed initial and minimum increment size, mesh size, but no change.

Hi, I am modeling of 2D plain strain model of soil under base excitation in bottom of model, 2 step defined and infinite element renamed in inp file and then imported. geostatic step completely finished (stress in finite element and infinite element is ok ) but second step (dynamic implicit) is not converge. Could you please help me solve this problem.

Unable to start analysis job

in every single project even the ones i have done long time ago

there is no warning no explanetion no nothing just a simple Unable to start analysis job

is there a solution?

i think i found the problem

its related to use multiple processors

but still i used that option before and there was no error

          When I submit my model for analysis it shows "Submitted" then does not show any progress. I waited overnight for a model but it does not show any progress.Usually, the same model shows "submitted" for several seconds then shows "running" and give me the results. I run the same model for several times. If I turn off ABAQUS then re-run the model it "Aborted" for

.lck file. I deleted the file and tried to re-run it but no luck. Can

anyone advise me for solving this issue?
