Public Policy & Administration Research Laboratory


About the lab

The teaching and research focus of the Laboratory comprises all the areas of public policymaking, as well as the institutional organization of the state. The aim is to analyze public policies, with an emphasis on the phenomenon of reform, through the examination of human resources, policy processes etc.
The Lab includes the Public Administration Observatory, which aims to map the public goods & services production processes, as they emerge in each policy area, as well as their impact, on the social, economic & natural environment & the systematic and periodical performance evaluation of public policies through the development of a comprehensive evaluation methodology with the relevant efficiency, effectiveness, transparency etc.

Στόχοι της παρούσας έρευνας αποτελούν: α) η μελέτη του βαθμού που έχουν υιοθετηθεί αρχές της διοίκησης ολικής ποιότητας για τις υπηρεσίες υγείας μέσα από συγκεκριμένες νομοθετικές επιλογές, β) τα περιθώρια περαιτέρω αξιοποίησης των εν λόγω πρακτικών με στόχο την βελτίωση της απόδοσης και της μείωσης του κόστους στις παρεχόμενες υπηρεσίες υγείας, γ) όψεις και ζητήματα που έχουν αναδειχθεί κατά την υιοθέτηση των αρχών της διοίκησης ολικής ποιότητας για τις υπηρεσίες υγείας στην Ελλάδα.
