The study investigated the impact of inadequate instructional materials on the effective teaching and learning of Physics in senior secondary schools.. A single research question and one research hypothesis served as the study's compass. Both were developed and tested at the P < 0.05 significant level, providing the data needed to determine whether the hypothesis should be accepted or rejected. The study employed a descriptive research design. The instrument for the research is a structured questionnaire. Three hundred and sixty SSII Physics students from senior secondary schools in Bwari Area Council, Abuja, make up the study participant population. The stratified random sampling was used to accommodate every stratum of people that make up the population. The data was analyzed with the use of mean, standard deviation and T-test. The result of the study showed that the teaching and learning of Physics is greatly impacted by inadequate instructional materials. The researcher recommends that; the government and stake holders should make available adequate instructional materials for the teaching and learning of Physics and Physics teachers should get used to the culture of using instructional materials during lessons as this will help to develop future engineers.
ABSTR ACT This study evaluated Physics teachers Perception on the adequacy of infrastructure in the evaluation of the implementation of Physics curriculum using Davis process model among unity colleges in North Central Nigeria. The study was guided by 2 objectives, 2 research questions and one null hypotheses. The study used a descriptive survey research design. The population for the study consists of the 84 Physics teachers in all the Unity colleges in North-central Nigeria, Purposive sampling was employed to select Niger, Nasarawa, and the Federal Capital Territory out of the seven states in North central, Nigeria. A sample size of 20 male teachers and 14 female Physics teachers were randomly selected from the Unity colleges in the three selected states and were used in the study. The questionnaires used for data collection in the study were based on Davis Process Model. It was validated by three experts. The questionnaire was trial tested and the data obtained were subjected to statistical analysis using Cronbach Alpha Correlation Formula and reliability coefficient of 0.86 was obtained. Descriptive statistics of Mean and Standard Deviation were used to answer the research Physics Teachers' Perception on The Adequacy of Infrastructure in the Evaluation of the Implementation of The Physics Curriculum Using Davis Process Model Among Unity Colleges in North Central Nigeria https://iaeme.com/Home/journal/IJRLIS 2 editor@iaeme.com questions. Null hypotheses were analysed using Mann-Whitney U test. Findings of the study revealed that the teachers have positive perceptions on the adequacy of infrastructure towards the implementation of the Physics curriculum and the study also show that the null hypotheses were retained as there was no significant difference the perceptions of both male and female teachers on the availability of infrastructure for curriculum implementation. In light of the findings, it was recommended that, Physics teachers should have access to available infrastructure for effective curriculum implementation.
This study has been undertaken to investigated the secondary school science student's awareness, of online resources for learning in Niger State Nigeria. Specifically, the study: determined secondary school science students' awareness of online resources for learning, A descriptive research design of the survey type was adopted for the study. One research questions were used in-line with the purpose of the study, 600 respondents were randomly sampled from the six-science secondary school in Niger State. Frequency and percentage were used to answer the research question Findings of the study revealed that science students were aware of online resources for learning and it was recommended that, orientation program should be organized for students in the school on how to download and access online Resources.
